Spotted: The Bristol Dinosaur Team |
 |
An amazing team of volunteers visit schools, science centres, festivals and other venues around
Bristol to tell you more about our very own dinosaur! Most recently they were spotted at Science
Alive where visitors had the opportunity to learn about the Bristol Dinosaur, touch real dinosaur
bones, watch videos, and they even made replica bones to take home! Read more
about the exciting event...

Heritage Lottery Fund Awards £294,000 to BDP |
|
In November 2009, the Heritage Lottery Fund awarded £294,300 to the Bristol Dinosaur Project to
fund an Education Officer and a Preparator for three years. This will allow us to process the
remaining 3.5 tonnes of bone-bearing rock, and to take the project to thousands of people in the
Bristol area. More information will appear shortly. Read more about the painstaking task of
removing the bones from the rock here. The current state of the project
is outlined here, as a pdf document. The University of Bristol press
release is here, and some of the many press
reports are here.
