Heritage Lottery Fund Awards £294,000 to BDP
In November 2009, the Heritage Lottery Fund awarded £294,300 to the Bristol Dinosaur Project to fund an Education Officer and a Preparator for three years. This will allow us to process the remaining 3.5 tonnes of bone-bearing rock, and to take the project to thousands of people in the Bristol area. More information will appear shortly. Read more about the painstaking task of removing the bones from the rock here. The current state of the project is outlined here, as a pdf document. The University of Bristol press release is here, and some of the many press reports are here.
