  School Visiting

The Bristol Dinosaur Project is for all people from in and around Bristol but particularly the kids!

It is our aim to come out to all the schools in and around Bristol (you can see a list of the schools that we have already visited) and tell you first hand about Bristol's own dinosaur. You'll be able to see the dinosaur bones in the rock and see how we clean them up and get them out. You can also learn about what Bristol was like over 200 million years ago when Bristol's own Dinosaur roamed the land.

You may even get to keep your own dinosaur footprint!
If you think you, your classmates and your school could be interested in this please read this information sheet and tell your teacher to contact us.

In the future it may also be possible for you and your class to visit the laboratory to see us, the palaeontologists, at work...keep a look out for updates on these web pages.

Until then you can read about how the Bristol Dinosaur was discovered and why we now have five tonnes of rock stuffed with dinosaur bones in our laboratory! Read about how we get the bones out of the rock, and how we make dinosaur bone casts and skeletons. Find out about the life and times of the Bristol dinosaur and discover what the Bristol dinosaur looked like.
